Fun and functional Sweet & Sour Chicken Wraps are perfect solution for busy mornings and hungry
afternoons. They’ll be a lunchbox hit – protein rich with a sauce that’s both sweet and a little tangy,
adding a flavour explosion to every bite.
PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES COOK TIME: 30 MINUTES SERVES: 4
INGREDIENTS:
4 soft tortilla wraps
8 chicken slices
4 tsp sweet and sour sauce
2 spring onion, shredded
1⁄4 cucumber, shredded
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Place your fillings in the centre of the tortilla; lay two slices of chicken on each the wrap. Spread a
teaspoon of sweet and sour sauce, divide the shredded cucumber and onion in the centre on top of
each wrap.
2. Pocket Fold the wrap; fold the bottom edge of the tortilla up over the filling to create a base. Take
one side of the tortilla and fold it inward, tucking the edge under the filling to create a pocket. Repeat
with the other side.
NOTES:
– For a spicier version for older kids, add a sprinkle of five spice.
– Use warm or room temperature tortillas for easier folding and prevent cracking.
– Don’t over fill the tortilla as it will be difficult to fold and may burst open.
– To prevent sogginess, avoid adding watery ingredients directly next to the tortilla, or wrap it in
lettuce to create a barrier.
