Learn more about ARGML certification
We have entrusted the control and certification of 100% of our products to the Ritual Association of the Great Mosque of Lyon (ARGML), an independent non-profit association created by the Great Mosque of Lyon.
ARGML ritual controllers are totally independent practicing Muslims who work conscientiously, with the greatest respect for Islamic principles and the consumers who place their trust in them.

ARGML is committed to the Halal certification of our products. For poultry, ARGML uses the reversible electronarcosis process, which calms the animal and reduces its stress while ensuring that it is still alive at the time of sacrifice. Ritual controllers aree always present to ensure this.

The ARGML has in fact developed a specific protocol enabling it to control the effects of electronarcosis. Each poultry is alive before its ritual sacrifice, in accordance with Islamic principles. Awakening tests ensure the reversibility of the electronarcosis procedure throughout the slaughter.
The controllers reduce the parameters of the electronarcosis compared to those used in the context of a non-Halal slaughter, in order to ensure that the poultry is alive before its ritual sacrifice (voltage, amperage, frequency, etc.). Any poultry suspected of being dead is immediately removed from the chain before ritual sacrifice.
These parameters are used to calm the poultry and avoid any stress prior to ritual slaughter. They are constantly reassessed according to the species, gender, size, average weight, state of fatigue, etc. Only the ritual controllers, posted on the chain, can modulate them.
